This website was created to inform the public about an incompetent and/or corrupt Arizona licensing agency... the AZ Board of Technical Registration (BTR). The BTR licenses Arizona Home Inspectors, along with several other occupations including Engineers, Architects, Geologists, Assayers, Landscape Architects, Land Surveyors, Certified Remediation Specialists and Drug Lab Remediators.
Licensing agencies are intended to protect the public, and are generally a necessary evil. However, incompetent and/or corrupt licensing agencies do NOT protect consumers. In fact, inefficient and/or corrupt licensing agencies unnecessarily INCREASE the cost of doing business - a cost which gets passed on to the consumer. So ironically, bad licensing agencies end up hurting the very consumers they're supposed to protect.
Whether you're a homebuyer, a homeowner, a home inspector, a real estate professional, or none of the above... DO NOT TOLERATE BAD GOVERNMENT... WE ALL DESERVE BETTER!
